Baby Shower Dessert Table

We created a dessert table for my girlfriend’s baby shower which was held at the R2L in Philadelphia. Let me tell you, this place was spectacular – great views of the city, delicious food and super accommodating waitstaff.

 The dessert table was in the center of the room and was styled the same on both sides. There was a dark chocolate cake with salted caramel buttercream, mini carrot cakes with cream cheese buttercream, mini red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese buttercream topped with butter cookies, plates of butter cookies and mini chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.

How about those gorgeous flower arrangements above? Stunning, right? They were created by Petah Bashano Event & Floral Design.  Petah also did the event planning for the entire soiree which was a huge hit!

The custom invitations and dessert table signs were done by Chick Invitations.  The artwork was also used to make edible images to put on the butter cookies.  Ticings transferred the artwork onto edible frosting sheets! How cute are those little zebras?

 The cake bunting, also created by Chick Invitations, matched the “Oh Baby” theme.

Wedding Cookie Cake Favors

I saw these on Martha Stewart’s site sometime ago and finally got around to making them.  How perfect are these for a wedding or bridal shower favor? They are a little over two inches wide and about two and three quarters of an inch high.  Six cookies in all.  Love them.

Easter Dessert Table

I did a ton of baking for Easter this year as we had a pretty big bash to celebrate the holiday.  It turned out to be a beautiful day and a great time was had by all!  Take a peek at what was on the dessert menu:

Carrot cake, with cream cheese buttercream, topped with a bunny-shaped butter cookie;

Flower pot cookie cupcakes (they were pound cake cupcakes with vanilla buttercream);

Our signature butter cookies shaped as Easter eggs, bunnies and flowers;

Mini cheesecakes;

Mini Key Lim Pies (they’re in the back there…didn’t get a great shot of them); and,

Mini caramel-filled brownies topped with chocolate buttercream.
